A good article today in the Herald on the possible use of the young kids in the pen and the creative use of the DL for greater flexibility in the postseason. at least it was interesting to me since they are both items I have been rambling on about over at GYS. (Comment this)
4 - Damn, I missed "Fist Pitch". What was that like?
I also missed the half-inning where Wells got himself out of a jam with runners on 2nd and 3rd, no outs. Here's the play-by-play:
- E. Brown walked
- A. Berroa reached on bunt single to pitcher, E. Brown to second, E. Brown to third, A. Berroa to second on second baseman T. Graffanino's fielding error
- M. Teahen grounded into fielder's choice, A. Berroa out at third
- J. Buck flied out to left
- D. Murphy struck out swinging
Emil Brown stayed on 3rd the entire time? How was Berroa out at 3rd? Did they mess up?
Ooh -- Sweeney almost tied it with a HR. Instead he got a GIDP. Whew. (Comment this)
5 - I'm afraid I'm only able to peek inat the game every now and then tonight; I'm about two hours away from finally putting this hellish thesis to bed.
X - I haven't seen the Herald article; I'l try to check it out when i'm done. Also, I ain't moved yet; the location will b changed by this time next week, though. I'll be U-Hauling ass out of here on Sunday morning. *looks around apartent and notices that it's far more unpacked than packed* Eep.
Earl - loks like Wells managed to get himself out of another jam in the 4th, though that's likely what you were referring to with the Sweeney comment. Then... TEK!
Schoenweis in for the Jays in the bottom of th 8th, with the Yanks up 3-2. And 'Fist pitch' was, I'm sure, fantastic. (Comment this)

the FC at third was the runner going home and then getting caught in a rundown and tagged out closer to 3rd than first.
Sorry about the move - I misread the original post and thought you had already moved.
BTW, nice ghostbusters poster. (Comment this)
